| 04-26-2008 - the Girls with their smorgasbord Here are the girls feasting on the food given to us by a local store. 
After a hard rain Sun went forth into the garden to collect one of the girls favorite meals -SNAILS! The girls go crazy once they start dropping into the pen.

| 03-23-2008 - Everyone is officially laying! The long wait and anticipation is over. All four of the hens are laying. Pretty soon we should have eggs for sale, once we get tired of them ;) Here are some pictures of the eggs!

| 03-03-2008 More EGGS! Winifred is going to town, laying eggs. We got three this weekend. They are slowly getting bigger, and you can see the progression, going left to right, as well as a "store egg".

| 02-28-2008 EGGS We went out to feed and water the chickens yesterday and low and be hold there was an EGG! It's the first one, and are not sure who laid it, but the excitement has risen!

A few new pictures of the girls
We have begun and are almost finished with the coop for the girls. Here is the construction of the coop - with more pictures to follow!
We now have chicks! they are growing fast. Pics 01-05 are when they were few days old. 06 and 07 are them at almost two weeks old. More pics to follow. |
